Skye is one of the obvious campervan destinations from Glasgow, but it is better treated as a multi-day trip than a box to tick. Give yourself enough time for the drive north, the island and the return rather than spending the whole holiday behind the wheel.
Getting to Skye from Glasgow
A scenic west-coast approach can take you through Loch Lomond, Glencoe and Fort William before continuing towards the Skye Bridge. Breaking the journey makes the route part of the holiday and gives you useful flexibility if the weather changes.
