Terms & Conditions

Standard Rental Agreement — Wee Coo Campers Ltd

Registered office: 2/1 29 Craigmillar Road, Glasgow, G42 9JZ.


1.Minimum Campervan Hire

Minimum hire is 2 nights; maximum hire up to 30 days. During July & August, a minimum hire of 6 nights applies unless agreed in advance with Wee Coo Campers.

2.Passengers

Our campervans are authorised for up to 4 passengers total (including the driver). All passengers must use seatbelts while the vehicle is in motion. Child seats are required for children under 12 years old or under 135 cm in height and must be correctly fitted by the hirer.

3.Drivers

Driver Requirements & Insurance

  • Drivers must be 25–75 years old.
  • Refundable security deposit: £1,000 (covers insurance excess). Optional CDW £15/day reduces the excess to £150.
  • Accepted licences: UK, EU, Canada, USA, Australia, New Zealand. Other licences subject to insurer approval and possible additional conditions.

Documentation (main driver)

  • Valid photo-ID driving licence or paper licence + passport
  • Two proofs of address from separate companies dated within the last 3 months

Additional drivers: must provide valid licence (or paper + passport). Max 2 drivers per rental; all drivers must be present on the day of hire. Drivers are responsible for any legal penalties incurred during the rental.

4.Campervan Hire Rates — What’s Included

Every Wee Coo comes with The Udder Essentials plus:

  • Unlimited UK mileage, standard UK insurance*, 24/7 roadside assistance
  • Kitchen & cookware, plates, cups; complimentary tea & coffee
  • Gas for cooking (typically sufficient for trip duration)
  • Cleaning kit; safety kit (fire extinguisher, first aid, triangle, hi-vis)
  • Mains hookup cable, leisure battery, heating system (model dependent)
  • Fridge/freezer, gas hob, sink; pop-top or rock-’n’-roll bed
  • LED lighting, blinds, blackout curtains; camping table & chairs
  • Comprehensive orientation on pickup

*Insurance subject to driver eligibility (see Section 3). All payments are processed securely via SumUp.

5.Booking, Payments & Security Deposit

Booking confirmation occurs when: (a) a written confirmation email is issued; (b) a 10% deposit (or agreed amount) is received; and (c) completed Driver Information Forms are submitted. Once confirmed, your booking is subject to these Terms & Conditions, including cancellation policy.

  • Balance: due 30 days prior to rental start (for hires on/after 1 Apr 2025).
  • Security deposit: £1,000 held before hire. Refunded within up to 7 days post-return, subject to vehicle condition, cleaning/fuel status, fines, and timing.
  • Inspection window: up to 48 hours post-return for wash/inspection and documentation of any damages.

Cleaning & Return fees (if required): £75 soiling; £20 wastewater not emptied; £50 porta-potti not emptied/cleaned.

Late return fees: Up to 30 mins £25; 30–60 mins £50; Over 60 mins £100.

6.Pickup, Return & Handover

  • Pickup: from 2:00 PM (allow ~30 minutes for handover)
  • Return: by 12:00 PM (noon)
  • Early pickup/late return may be available with the Holy Cow Plan (subject to scheduling)

Vehicle must be returned to the correct location, undamaged, clean inside, and with a full tank of fuel.

7.Cancellation Charges

Customers wishing to cancel will:

  • Receive a full refund of the deposit if cancelled > 6 weeks (42 nights) before start, less a £50 admin fee.
  • Receive 50% of the total hire if cancelled between 6 and 4 weeks before start, less a £50 admin fee.
  • Forfeit 100% of the total hire if cancelled < 4 weeks before start.
  • Receive a 100% refund if Scottish government restrictions close our base for your collection date.
  • Receive a 100% refund if non-essential travel restrictions in your area/country prevent travel.

8.Rental & Other Charges

You agree to pay Wee Coo Campers for: rental charges; the security deposit; cancellation fees; the cost of damage to the vehicle or third-party property (subject to insurance); government fees/duties; fines/penalties and related admin costs; daily rental rate while off fleet for accident repairs; recovery if bogged; and other fees under this agreement. If insurance is invalidated due to misuse/breach, you are liable for all costs.

9.Payment of Charges — Joint & Several Liability

All charges are due on demand. Late payment may incur 1.5% per month interest plus collection costs. Where multiple customers are named, liability is joint and several.

10.Collection & Return Details

Collection: allow up to 1 hour for handover/documentation. Return: allow up to 30 minutes for checks. Must be returned as supplied (clean interior, full fuel, on time, correct location). Delays may attract late fees.

11.Title to Vehicle

Wee Coo Campers retains title at all times. You may not sell, assign, sublet, pledge, or otherwise part with the vehicle.

12.Use of the Vehicle

  • Drive cautiously and lawfully; no racing, rallies, towing, or carrying more persons than seats/seatbelts.
  • No driving under the influence; remove keys when unattended; apply security devices.
  • No submersion/salt-water exposure; no volatile/explosive materials.
  • Only drive in permitted areas and on allowed roads (see Road Restrictions).

13.Alterations

No alterations/additions to the vehicle without prior written consent from Wee Coo Campers.

14.Maintenance & Tyres

Maintain fluids/batteries. With prior consent, we’ll reimburse up to £50 for drivetrain/mechanical failures (excludes water system, fridge, heating, audio). Tyre damage is your responsibility (unless covered by Premium IDW); contact us for approval and like-for-like replacement.

15.If an Accident Occurs

  • Notify us immediately; if unreachable, email and await guidance (safety permitting).
  • Collect third-party/witness details; report to police where required.
  • No admissions or settlement offers; assist with claims and supply information.
  • Excess (up to deposit) is payable at reporting. Change-over vehicle costs may apply.

16.Insurance

  • Fully comprehensive cover for third-party property/injury and vehicle damage, less excess (see Section 3). Travel insurance (medical/illness incl. COVID-19) recommended.
  • Windscreen: £100 chip / £500 replacement excess (deducted from deposit).
  • Tyres: customer responsible unless covered by Premium IDW.
  • Breaches of this agreement may void cover; costs then fall to the hirer.

17.Release & Indemnity

Except for our obligation to supply the vehicle, you release Wee Coo Campers from liability for losses/damages arising from breakdown, accident, or unsuitability, and for property left in/on the vehicle/premises. You indemnify us against claims/expenses arising from your use/possession of the vehicle, subject to insurance.

18.Road Restrictions

  • Only on sealed/bitumen roads.
  • We may restrict movements due to weather/road conditions or other reasonable cause.

19.Pets

  • Pets only with prior consent. Dog cleaning £35 (max 2 dogs).
  • Return interior reasonably cleaned of pet hair/dirt. Additional cleaning fees may apply.

20.Definitions

Terms including “customer”, “rental period”, “vehicle”, “security deposit”, and “insurance damage waiver (IDW)” follow Wee Coo Campers documentation. “Overhead damage” means damage above 1.83m (6ft); overhead damage and gross negligence are excluded from CDW and fully chargeable.

21.Termination

We may terminate and repossess without notice if you breach this agreement, obtained the vehicle by fraud/misrepresentation, appear to abandon it, fail to return on time, or if safety/vehicle condition is endangered. No refund of charges or deposit in such cases.

22.Changes

Any changes must be in writing and signed on behalf of Wee Coo Campers and by you.

23.Proper Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of Scotland.

24.Warranties

You warrant that all information supplied to Wee Coo Campers in connection with this agreement is true.

25.Entire Agreement

This document constitutes the entire agreement. Wee Coo Campers reserves the right to amend rental charges without prior notice.
