Destination: Glencoe
Mountain scenery from the A82, a woodland walk and a proper evening in the glen.Good for: Big Highland scenery without an island crossing; strong low-level and indoor alternatives. The compromise: The roadside viewpoints fill up. Mountain walks need much more preparation than a short woodland circuit.Glen Etive is a narrow dead-end detour, not a road onward to Oban. The Lochan Trail can hold surface water after heavy rain. Use the Glencoe visitor centre when the weather makes the mountain outing a poor choice.Read the full Glencoe campervan guide
6-day Skye via Glenfinnan
Follow the west coast through Glencoe and Glenfinnan, then take the booked Mallaig ferry to Skye. One main island walk leaves room for coffee, parking and the mainland transfer before handback.
8-day west coast & Skye
Combine Argyll’s sea lochs with Glencoe, Glenfinnan and Skye. The extra mainland stages give the west coast more space, while the last island day still needs a planned return transfer.
12-day Grand Scotland loop
A broad Scottish sampler taking in the west coast, Skye, Wester Ross and the Cairngorms. Use the daily choices to keep one worthwhile outing in focus, with a practical Perthshire finish.
Loch Lomond & Glencoe Campervan Route
Two nights away: the first by Loch Lomond, the second beneath Glencoe’s mountains. We’ve kept the route to one village evening, one short woodland walk and a couple of food stops that sit naturally along the A82.
5-day Scotland campervan route: west coast
A mainland loop through Loch Lomond, Glencoe, Glenfinnan and Oban. Five hire days suit one main outing a day, with the final night closer to Renfrew.
7-day Scotland campervan route: west coast and Skye
A week-long version of the west-coast journey, with the route shortened by going straight from Loch Lomond to Oban. Book the Mallaig ferry and leave Skye before the final return morning.
