Meet our VW California campervans

Meet Maggie, our lovely wee coo on four wheels!

Born in 2023, Maggie is a genuine, factory-built VW California Surf - designed by Volkswagen as a campervan from the ground up, rather than converted from a standard van. She combines all the clever features of a proper California with an adventurous spirit and a gentle Highland soul.

Maggie sleeps up to four, with a cosy fold-down double bed below and a comfortable pop-up roof bed above. With four travelling seats and seatbelts, she’s perfect for couples, pals or wee families heading off on a Scottish adventure.

Inside, you’ll find a cleverly designed kitchen with a double gas hob, sink and 50L fridge, along with indoor and outdoor tables for everything from rainy-day breakfasts to lochside dinners. USB charging, 240V sockets when hooked up, LED lighting and efficient diesel heating keep everyone charged, cosy and comfortable whatever the Scottish weather decides to do.

She comes with The Udder Essentials - everything you need to head off happily - with optional extras and upgrade packs available if you fancy a little more comfort along the way.

And with unlimited kilometres, there’s no need to keep one eye on the mileage. Follow the coast, take the long way round, add another island or change your plans completely - Maggie is made for exploring.

Her favourite place to wander is Scotland’s west coast, where she’s happiest among winding Highland roads, sea lochs and big sunsets. She’s just as comfortable introducing first-time camperv
